Styx keeps your site running, patched, and looked after. Every tier gets the same hosting, the same Aegis dependency defence, and the same access to your own content. Anything critical is fixed free on all three. What the tiers differ on is who pays for the less urgent fixes, and how much build time comes with the fee.

Left alone, a website rots. The code ages, the patches stop, and years later the only fix left is to build it again. The right-hand column is what stops that happening.

Four of those lines are identical whichever tier you pick, and they’re the ones about your site staying up. The tiers only part company over how fast your new work is scheduled, and who pays when a dependency update breaks something. Recently graduated? We support new businesses.
Aegis · the part that runs without asking
Every site we host runs it. It is included in all three tiers, and it is most of the reason hosting with us is worth paying for.
Every website is built on other people’s code: dependencies, dozens of them, each quietly ageing. Left alone they become the way in. Aegis updates them every week, automatically, so the gap between a security patch existing and your site having it is days rather than years. Most weeks that is the whole story and you never hear from us. When an update does need a person, Aegis raises it with us, not with you.

A known vulnerability, or an update that has to land now. Nobody waits for this and nobody is billed for it, on any tier.

Worth doing, not on fire. Usually a breaking change we have to work around rather than a hole to close.

Anything red, we fix for free, on every tier. We host the site, Aegis found the hole, and billing you to close it would be charging for our own alarm going off. Amber and below is the only line that moves by tier, and the table above prices it.
New builds. For the first 1 year after a Foundry build is finished, every Aegis fix is free, amber included, even on Core. Then the tier rules apply as normal: the warranty page has what’s settled so far.
Your hours are build hours
Most care plans hand you an allowance and then spend it patching the site. Yours is only ever spent on things that didn’t exist before.
The hours in your tier are for building: a new page, a new feature, a form you didn’t have yesterday, anything that needs us to write code. They are not an upkeep allowance, and nothing routine is quietly deducted from them.
Run out and the next hour is £35, in whole-hour blocks, agreed before we start the clock. Small fixes that aren’t building anything, a wrong word, a broken image, a change of phone number, are billed the same way with a one-hour minimum. Or do them yourself in Pantheon, for nothing.
